… Pure Provence a stone’s throw from Ansouis  …

Petit Pibaraud is a traditional family villa located in quiet and relaxing countryside 1km from the village of Ansouis.

At Petit Pibaraud you will appreciate the charm of the beautiful Provençal days. The property is nestled in the heart of a hill of oaks and poplar – “piba” or “piboula” in Provençal, hence its name. You really feel you’re in real Provence at Petit Pibaraud, especially with its typical plaster fireplace, and the traditional kitchen with its large Lacanche gas stove and red and yellow Salernes tiles.

The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of three bedrooms with a shaded terrace overlooking the garden and pool. The rooms are accessed via a pretty staircase with a discreet wrought-iron banister. Each room has large closets. Towels and bed linen are provided as well as bath towels. Both bathrooms were renovated last year and are equipped with walk-in showers.

The house is equipped with all the modern appliances: dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, 2 ovens, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster …  The living room and the large bedroom have a flat screen TV and there is wifi throughout the house.

For your lunch break, use the ‘plancha’ on the patio, where there is a large round table and umbrella.

The pool (which can be heated to 26 degrees) is 11m x 5m with a “plage” (shallow area) of 1m that is 20cm deep, while the depth of the pool varies from 80cm to 1.8m.

The property is located on a large terraced lot in a very quiet setting. You are in the shade of large oaks to protect you from the summer heat or try a tan in the sun of the South by the pool with its borders and its beautiful stone Luberon waterfall surrounded by a lawn. You will relax to the sound of cicadas and birds on comfortable loungers overlooking the Luberon.

You can park your vehicle away from the sun in the shaded car park under the oaks and poplars.

Officially one of the “most beautiful villages in France”, Ansouis a must-see tourist destination during any stay in Provence. You will be able to visit its medieval castle, its magnificent ‘calades’ and its market on Sunday morning. And for the gastronomes there’s the benefit of its Michelin-starred restaurant.

Ansouis is located in the Regional Natural Park of Luberon. You can practice activities such as hiking or road biking or mountain biking (possibility of renting bicycles and electric bikes). The Etang de la Bonde is 5 minutes away, while you can easily reach Aix-en-Provence 25km, Apt 15km and Marseille-Provence airport 60km.

Amazing friendly hosts, house and facilities even more beautiful than on the pictures. Ansouis is a sweet village. Definitely recommendable! Oh and they can arrange bikes in Pertuis if you like.

  2. Patrick - France says:

  6. Norman - Great Britain says:

Claudine and Antoine were very hospitable and made sure we had everything we wanted and would book the main restaurant in town for dinner If we asked. (Grain de sel). Recommended that one does that as it gets full. The grounds are well kept and attractive and the pool setting is great. For interest Pibaraud is a silver barked tree of which there are many in the garden.
